Meetings

The inaugural meeting of the Nordic Network in Metaphysics was held in Uppsala on 20-21 October 2015, followed by four larger meetings, in 2016, 2017, 2018. The meetings of the network serve the purpose of research communication and networking, especially also to support young researchers.

Upcoming Meeting

Nordic Network in Metaphysics: 6th Workshop

September 24-25, 2024

The workshop will be in Uppsala, Sweden, and will be hosted by the Department of Philosophy at Uppsala University.

Selection of speakers will be made entirely on the basis of submitted abstracts.

Those eligible to submit abstracts are junior researchers (PhD students or postdocs or those who have received their PhDs no earlier than 2019) affiliated with a university in one of the Nordic countries or one of the Baltic countries.

The Nordic Network in Metaphysics is an informal network for philosophers working on metaphysics. For some information about earlier workshops in this series, see here: https://nordicmetaphysics.org/meetings/past-meetings/.
Abstracts can be in any area of metaphysics, and should be 750-1000 words. Prepare abstracts for anonymous assessment.

At the workshop each abstract will get a commentator. Authors of accepted abstracts will be expected to send a manuscript to their commentator no later than September 4, 2024.

Submit abstracts by March 8, 2024. Abstracts should be suitable for a talk of no more than 45 minutes.
